Today was kind of a weird day, My company moved offices and today was the first day in the new office/building, Doo-Ri is in the same building, I have to see whats else is up, didn't investigate the building and staircases and firescapes yet... I will :) Always looking for secret smoke spots, which after writing this prob never will happen but the pleasure I have now with making my boss paranoid about where I might go is fulfilling as it is :)
Around lunch time I went with two coworkers to a flower shop around the corner, one of my coworkers discovered the flowershop has a talking bird, we entertained ourselfs 30 minutes with talking to the bird??!!??!! this is how dysfunctional we are...
End of the day I step out for a cigarette, when I'm waiting for the elevator this girl comes up, she's taller then me, has short platinum blonde hair, shaved up on the side, most amazing jewelry, I see 2 chunky studded/spiked cuffs, skinny jeans with silver ankle booties, fabulous bag, the most amazing style, barely there make-up, if she wears anything at all, she looks so familiar,
someone else enters, "hi Kate"! we all talk in the elevator about random things and I keep thinking where I recognize her from, I have seen her on a million blogs... later it hits me, or I just saw the perfect clone with the most perfect style and most perfect eye for accessories...

My new boots, I found them at Buffalo Exchange in Brooklyn for 17 dollars and 50 cents,
because of all the detailing going on I rather wear them with a simple over-sized tee or slouchy sweater and keep it simple.
I still hope to find some simple sleek black thigh high boots for this fall/winter,
those will be dressed up way more femme fatale, lol, for these it would be a bit too much I think..For the last week I have been going Downtown every single day after work to meet friends, in these early evening hours the light gives sometimes magical surprises, a rosey glow or a soft warm cast, its a lot of fun playing with, and I'm really obsessing over light lately,
so happy I have friends who totally share this new obsession lol, We are all pretty new to photography so we are really trying to figure out the manual settings, best spots for light, best angles, you name it :)

went with the usual suspects shopping in Williamsburg, Brooklyn,
found some amazing boots for 17 dollars and 50 cents, a slip dress and sequined shrug,
We strolled around and went for Thai food at Sea on N6th street.
Spent most of my day at work looking at 90's music videos and commercials for inspiration, I bumpt into Milli Vanilli's "girl you know its true", scanky and late 80's I believe, the street shots are great art-direction for right now, I loved it, so as details in clothing like the belts and the 3/4 leggings/biker pants with socks and doc Martens combined with boyfriend blazer, a bright colored boyfriend blazer!... all over the video are great little inspiration finds actually.. very right now, inspiration for right now...

sjeeeeez.... they came in today, so I put them right on and went to work.... the pain the pain, I love them though, my white pleasure, my white pain....
After work I went to the village to meet my friend, following his instruction; "You're going to the Minetta Tavern between west 3rd and bleecker" and there he was indeed, we went to walk around and I handed over my camera, the Canon EOS Rebel, he right away started yanking the settings, giving me a mad look for having it on automatic setting, now I know why... I didn't know my camera could do this. Chasing the light. We played for an hour before hitting some food and wine, I so needed the wine to sooth my feet haha :)

The Stars top/dress is a random Ebay find, you know, the regular missy stores on there with like 200 items available haha, I only like the solid colored stars actually,
For me the stars are something I need in my wardrobe, I need a tuxedo dress, a sailor dress, a tutu, a big ribbon, it just adds something fun, and something else then all the metal band, photo-reals and sketch like prints.
And I'm not finished with the stars yet :) I traced the star, and want to print them on a custom made skirt :) and I know exactly which skirt haha, the person who makes them doesn't know it yet lol, you will soon see me wearing one of her skirts and will understand why I want the solid stars on one of those :) maybe I will scale the stars a bit down... oh fuck it, I scale the stars down and make tights out of it too, I will go for a star over kill... all stars...
You don't really see it but I wear one of my favorite rings, its the Mixco Porcelain Barby ring that I got last year, I'm thinking about getting one of the porcelain skull rings too...
