CHICAGO -- Boston Bruins center Patrice Bergeron was taken to a
hospital with an undisclosed injury Saturday, and Chicago Blackhawks
captain Jonathan Toews didn't play in the third period of Game 5
because of an apparent injury.
Bergeron was hurt during a 4-on-4 situation late in the first period
and then tried to play in the second period but was unable to continue
after two shifts totaling 49 seconds.
Toews was hurt on a check by Boston's Johnny Boychuk, who seemed to
hit him in the head as he was cutting toward the center of the ice in
front of the net. Toews did sit on the bench during the third period.
