Favorite Natural Beauty Tutorials

 photo Look1beforeandafter_zpsdb7dd70a.jpg

I'm obsessed with Natural Beauty looks! Not only is a fresh, radiant and dewy skin like a fresh leaf in spring, it is a perfect base to play up the classics like a winged eye or perfect red lips too! For me a bare look where it looks like no make-up is involved is far more intimidating as well, I always envy Natural Beauty's and their effortlessly nonchalant looks! Luckily for us looking "Natural Stellar" ends up being not so natural at all ;)

1) Barefaced Chic

A beautiful little tutorial on getting a gorgeous and natural look! The soft blush and sheer gloss on a light moist skin give such an understated glow and freshness to a bare look.

2) Quick Brightening Make Up

Lisa Eldridge her blog and video tutorials are a real gem! A beautiful natural look is all about skin, about a radiant, fresh, glowy and yes bright skin!

3) Blush, Luminizer and Bronzer

A gorgeous video on blush, luminizer and bronzer! To be honest the video is more of an inspiration then an actual help although it does really make you get up and have a go with the blush! Helpful or not, for a beautiful natural look you need that flush of blush.

4) Covering Blemishes

Sometimes foundations and powders just work against you when you want a fresh natural look, Foundations can cake or just take away a natural glow (hormones, happiness, love..you know a real glow), try to work with an concealer only and by working on the problem areas only; dark circles and lines! I'm not lucky enough to step out with only a drip of concealer everyday but the days that I do, it ends up looking far better then a whole cover up! Not brave enough? Just finish up with a sheer foundation instead!

5) Beautiful Brows

Gorgeous brows are often a key (and forgotten) secret to a perfect natural look, I think a natural look is all about a subtle enhancement of the face, features and skin!

6) Brow Guidance

Another great and must see Brow Tutorial!

7) Romantic Waves

A common misconception when it comes to natural looks is that everything has to be natural! You would be surprised how natural these curls would look when they dance gently in the wind! I would even go with a slightly lighter lipgloss and maybe even set the eyes a bit more!

8) Flower Braid

A lighthearted and playful touch adds quickly something youthful to any look! I would just keep the hair with the braid instead of making the actual flower but I do really love the idea!

9) Lace Braid

The hair is much more complicated but "frilly", and this "frilly" and "free" feel is a much understated and forgotten aspect to  a "natural beauty" look!

10) Flat to Full

Add freshness and an uplifted feel to a natural look with beautiful big and dancing hair! I just love this tutorial!

NIVEA BB Cream

Photobucket
Nivea BB Cream, photo by me

These day's most of us can rarely find the time for a 10-step skin care routine in the morning! Me absolutely being one of them!
NIVEA has send me their new BB Cream, BB being short for "Blemish Balm", for me to try out. The tinted daydream promises deep hydration, to smooth the skin and reduce the pores, to cover blemishes, a natural color, a soft glowing skin and SPF 10 sun protection.

I have been using the Nivea BB Cream for a few days now, doing double duty as both a moisturizer and foundation and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised! The cream actually does what my Primer is supposed to do (and obviously doesn't). My skin ended up looking radiant and smooth with a very beautiful healthy rosy glow like Cameron Diaz on the cover of British Vogue December Issue!

The BB cream is enriched with vitamins C, mineral pigments and Provitamine B5 giving covering while nourishing at the same time.
The cream comes in two tints, the BB Cream Light for fair skin and the BB Cream
Medium for Tan skin.

xoxo

ps. Tomorrow I will post the DIY Baroque Tights Tutorial!

Favorite Cat Eye Tutorials

Photobucket
 images via weheartit

It's weekend and time to master yet another skill! I'm in love with the winged 60's cat eyes but to master these you kind of need to go all "starwars-ish" where you simply need to use "the Force" basically you need talent or loads of practice, note here that I myself have no "symmetry talent" whatsoever and second to that patience is not on my list either.. But behold, there is still hope! I collected my favorite tutorials, the straight to the point tutorials that are perfect for starter catty-eyes and a perfect base for those of us who are ready to move on to the more advanced winged looks as seen in the collage (and uhm yeah, make tutorials so I can re-post them on my blog!)
x

1) Easy Cat-Eyeliner Tutorial

Indian Vanity Case brings us this great tutorial, I basically skipped the whole eyeshadow part and went straight to the liner starting at the outer corners like directed! Still practice is needed.

2) the Winged Cat Eye

I'm just in love with the illustration and the directions given are easy to follow, I guess when things are made to look easy it feels much better to take on! I found out that many people like to use a white brow liner, a pencil, folded tissue or even Scotch Tape easy to use for making the Wing when not having a steady hand!

3) 60's Cat Eye

Sadly this is one of those images that went viral on Tumblr and in the process the original source got lost! Real bummer since I'm actually high on credits! Non the less, I think this cat eye is perfect in its own bold minimal way! Slack on 1000 layers of eyeliner creating a thick line (almost impossible to fail here) and add the wing/tip last.

4) Hollywood Noir Cat Eye

Hollywood Noir's post gives use direction in products plus a great video tutorial, showing us how to do the cat-eye using a white pencil as a stencil tool!

5) Get Catty

Lauren Conrad and Amy Nadine show you how to get Lauren's signature winged eye liner in this video tutorial!

6) Cat Eyes by Magic!

hahaha, this tutorial is Epic and Jane Marie is my kind of Girl! *I'm so buying Scotch Tape today and hopefully I won't rip my eye out* No steady hand needed for sure!
