You don't have to follow every trend because sometimes there are just trends that are not very "you" That's what I had with the wedge sneakers... until that is... I did saw the Nike's Dunk Ski High's before in White Mesh (I'm loving the Black Mesh too) and had to admit I liked them but still considered them to be nothing for me. The other day I tried them on, just to give it a go... and wow, I really really loved them seeing them on! I think this is a trend that somehow needs to suit you. The moment I tried them on I imagined them wearing long length dresses, short dresses and shorts! I really say give them a try and you might love them the way I do and then some!

dip dye, neon and Phillip Lim

A more sportive look today! I couldn't resist the H&M dip dye leggings and thought they would work amazing with the neon nike's and my canvas 3.1 Phillip Lim tote! Adding a light blue shirt and a beautiful necklace and yes, my dinosaur skeleton cuff!

I do love to crush on some pink and lately it has been a Neon Pink crush, I really think they would match fab with pastels and whites and are totally smashing with black! I love that Nike calls it hot punch/white storm pink which makes me think about some kind of yummie Summer Punch!

Nike LunarGlide+ 4

A much seen street style sneaker right now is the Nike. The Nike Running Sneakers are perfect for those sleek New York and Scandinavian chic looks worn daily in minimal and often sleek black looks and I have envied bloggers like Alice and Sabrina for pulling off the looks perfectly for a while now. 

But the Nike LunarGlide+ 4 is more then just fashion envy, it is a perfect lightweight running shoe with an adaptive glove-like-fit and an excellent blend of springy cushioning and support coming in a multitude of hot colors and color combinations. I think it's time for me to replace my all stars for the LunarGlide and add that bit of city fashion sleekness to my looks that I envy so much! (and instead of black I might go for the above pastels)

5 ways to wear sneakers

Someone asked me if I ever wear sneakers and how I wear them.

So here are my favorite 5 way's of styling my kicks;

1) With Mini A-line Skirts

A fluttery mini skirt and a tucked in T-shirt give a more girly or retro look, depending if you wear it with a funky over the top skirt like the tutu or a (ditsy floral printed) "vintage look" skirt. My rule for going crazy with the fluffy tutu's and sneakers? I keep my hair and make-up natural and don't wear any jewelry with it.

2) With Boy friend jeans

Sneakers go so well with boyfriend jeans, my rule for not looking like a boy? I always wear a fitted/tight top with it to give the whole look some feminine curves.

3) With above the knee Dresses

All dresses go with sneakers period. I mostly wear vintage dresses just above the knee as well as more girly romantic dresses, and I just love to wear the sneakers with socks of course. (like seen here)

4) With Leggings

I love the simplicity of leggings with sneakers, I mostly wear them with a loose fitted tee or sweater and love to top of the look with a blazer.(seen here)

5) With Maxi skirts and dresses

I often wear my sneakers under a maxi skirt or dress with a big sweater, very laid-back and "Olson" layered. Big sunnies and a big hobo bag almost a must ;)
